The whole Bible is not 66 separate books. It is one rescue story, from the first garden to the fire of Pentecost. This is the entire Bible told as a single, unbroken story. One promise, made in Eden and kept across thousands of years, through a flood, a slavery, an exile, and four hundred years of silence. God sent rescuer after rescuer, a man to break slavery, judges, kings, prophets, and every one of them fell short, because the real enemy was never an army or an empire. It was the sin hiding inside the human heart, and no hero could reach it, until the true Rescuer finally came.
